PLEASE READ: A Dr's Letter Regarding Healthcare Reform

The Problems with Obamacare

Please read this letter from a doctor in California to her patients.  She spells out the problems with Obamacare very clearly. And since she wrote this, McDonald's has decided to eliminate the health care plan that they already have for their thousands of employees because of the rising cost and are dumping them into the government plan. The flaws in in law are just beginning to show themselves.

Please just click this link Dr Silver's Letter Regarding Obamacare to read the letter, consider it, and share it if you want to. We all want something to be done about the soaring cost of health care and medical insurance. That is a good place to start.

Please forward this blog post and letter to your friends and family.

Same scare tactics. Statements preporting to be fact are exagerated guesses as to what will happen.

I work for a major international corporation which manages benefits for companies' employees. Already, we have seen large-scale benefit programs being dropped by companies for their employees because of the new government regulations. ObamaCare is nothing more than taking away from those who earn the money to those who willingly take something they have not earned. The result is the destruction of the best medical care in the world and replaced by mediocre care at best. Dr. Silver was right on.

Nancy said, "Same scare tactics. Statements preporting to be fact are exagerated guesses as to what will happen."

The misspellings notwithstanding, Nancy clearly has no understanding of the PPACA, none. Her comments support that.

ObamaCare is already harming the public. Medicare contracted Physicians, already compensated at levels almost two years behind current levels, have just been "hit" by another 22% slash in reimbursements. Many have left Medicare, opting to not go broke.

Small business owners are being brutalized by IRS requirements written into ObamaCare that call for even the smallest and most unimportant medical costs to be reported by the employer on special 1099 forms. This requirement is estimated to bring an additional $17Billion into ObamaCare coffers.

The implementation of ObamaCare provisions has been slated to be done on an incremental basis. This was not done to privde ease of complience, but to keep the public ignorant of what has really been done to them until it is too late for them to scream for major amendments to this poorly thought out, "Rush to Judgment" passage of an incredibly bad law.

President Obama, speaking from WA State on a fundraising "tour" for Sen. Patty Murray, a Democrat who is in serious trouble and may not be re-elected, said, "Of course we need to correct some mistakes. We had to rush to pass this law." Why did they have to rush? They had almost 18 months to do this to the American People. They not only didn't "rush", they did not perform simple "Due Diligence".

Then, of course, we have the "sheeple", like Nancy, who followed their leader off the cliff like Lemmings.

Great letter from the doctor, very poor response from Nancy to start this off.

I understand that the health system needs to be reformed. I think that we all agree about this. I am not a fan of ObamaCare and believe that we need to Defund, Repeal, and Replace ObamaCare. This legislation was thrown down our throats probably because if we were allowed time to read 2000 pages, we would have known that this was a ploy to put us into Socialistic Medicine.

Actually, the letter held back from what the doctor could have said about the need to focus on health costs first. PPACA does not significantly do that. The insurance industry is forced to respond to claims with or without an arbitrary MLR. More claims = more insurer dollars spent paying them = bigger premiums. PPACA adds benefits, eliminates lifetime caps, reduces insurer profits, and requires 'essential' benefits etc. And yet HHS yells at the insurers for saying that premiums will increase. I think that despite her sincerity, Nancy has failed to grasp the elementals of insurance. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone always pays...either other businesses or the taxpayers given the slippery slope in PPACA towards a government-oriented program.
